Background
Rozet is a prominent cultural centre located in Arnhem – a vibrant hub for the community, connecting people through art, culture, and knowledge. Positioning itself in the neighbourhoods it supports, Rozet has seven centres within the Dutch city, enabling local people to gather, learn, and collaborate. The main centre houses an awe inspiring library, offers art and heritage education, and hosts a variety of community events. Rozet is open and inclusive, embracing language, art, and heritage as its cornerstones.
Challenge
Rozet’s main building is an award winning architectural asset for Arnhem. Designed by Neutelings Riedijk Architecten, it is open and inviting – multifunctional. Now over 10 years old, Rozet wanted to modernise the technology within its auditorium to empower partners with a high quality display to present, educate, and entertain. The challenge? The large and high ceilinged space is well lit with ambient light from an array of windows, making it impossible to mount directly to a wall and necessitating a display with brightness to stand the test of direct sunlight.
Solution
Rozet set PPDS Partner, Designed2Rock, to the task, who quickly identified a display that could be tailored ideally to the space. Philips Unite LED 5000 Series was selected for its energy efficiency, bringing lower cost of ownership, as well as for its exceptional quality, delivering on clear visibility even in strong daylight. Built into a 162” solution, the Series comes pre-wired for power for the tidiest cable management and with rolling ripple styled cabinet backs. The display was installed on a bespoke trolley, making the most of the available space and allowing movement depending on the position of the sunlight from the windows. This also allows flexible placement for a diverse mix of events, and greater accessibility. Rozet now boasts a modern auditorium with a cutting edge, vivid display that retains its clarity despite extensive natural light. Enhancing the experience for both visitors and presenters, it provides stronger visual impact during all cultural and educational events.
