What started many years ago as a series of targeted initiatives, evolving into a strategic priority, has moved beyond strategy into something more transformative – a powerful phase shift in how sustainability is understood, implemented, and expanded across our operations and partner ecosystem.

In 2025, as well as continuing to reduce the energy consumed by our Philips Professional Displays, we have made it our mission to champion sustainability further – for our peers in the industry, and for future talent, too.

A key moment came at ISE 2025, when we sponsored and helped to shape the Sustainability track of the very first ISE Hackathon for aspiring students. Bringing this important topic forward at the industry’s flagship event created a platform to encourage more action in our own industry and, better still, to inspire the next generation of talent into AV. And it has supported ongoing conversation throughout the year, as well.

Our wider industry engagement also expanded. Alongside maintaining our role as a Preservation Partner of SAVe, we sponsored the Sustainability category at the annual AV Awards. And we supported the inaugural AV Sustainability Summit in London, where we contributed to discussions on the collective steps our sector must take to accelerate progress. Importantly, this year’s increased dialogue has been matched by continued innovation and measurable results.

Our Philips Signage 3000 Series EcoDesign became the first signage display of its kind to achieve EPEAT Climate+ Gold certification. We also launched the Philips Unite LED 6000 Series All In One, featuring our unique energy saving standby mode, that has already received multiple industry awards. These achievements were further recognised when EcoVadis awarded us a Platinum medal – placing us, as part of TPV Technology, among the top 1% of organisations assessed globally.

The past year has reinforced that sustainability progress does not move forward on a simple linear path. Instead, once the foundations are built and key barriers are removed, real change can accelerate.

As we look ahead, our work in 2025 provides a strong platform for continued progress. By consolidating the advances already achieved and unlocking new opportunities and programs, we are expanding our ability to support partners and customers on their sustainability journeys. The result is not only reduced energy consumption and emissions, it contributes to a more resilient and future ready AV industry.
